Health, Travel, and Walking
2007 has started with a slew of family health issues. I travelled up to DC area because GG (my mother's mother), 91, had a subdural hematoma. She ended up having 3 brain surgeries in a matter of 10 days to correct mysterious bleeding. She is holding up great though. On the other side of the family, Nanny was supposed to undergo surgery for her breast cancer, but it has been postponed. Then back to my side, I found out my father's father (Granddad) will be getting bypass surgery next Wednesday. I forsee more travel and family visits. I just wish it were under better circumstances.
In other news, while Ellie and I were in DC, Ellie figured out how to stand on her own for brief periods. And when we got back she suddenly started pushing her push toy around. She is really into all things standing and walking. She'll climb up to it and push it around on her own, or sometimes I'll stand her up on it to get rid of the intermittant fussies. Sometimes she'll push it from the wrong side, or even with one hand. Only thing left is for her to learn how to turn it where she wants to turn it in order to avoid obstacles.
