Visiting Daddy's Family

We took a family trip to see Daddy's family at the end of this summer. We had a really great time, I only wish it were the beginning of summer rather than the end and that we could have had more time. It seemed that just as Ellie was getting used to the new people it was time to go. I'm vowing to try to make our trips more frequent so family is family and not strangers.

The forecast was for rain but there was still plenty of sunshine and Ellie LOVED the pool. She hated that we insisted on hanging onto her the entire time or kept her cooped up in a float. I think we were all surprised that she showed no fear whatsoever. She even kept trying to get her head under the water.

Also, while we were there, she learned yet another new trick - throwing a ball. I'll have to give credit to Mamma (great-grandma) for that one. Here are just a few of the pics we took.
